The Journey of Shopello
In 2010 we founded Shopello to enter the market of e-commerce within retail. It has been a bumpy ride looking for where in this space our product belongs. At the end of 2018 Google opened up the CSS ecosystem and the stars aligned. We were then, and are still, well positioned to gain traction within this space. It has been proven by strong YoY growth. We have gathered more experience (and data) than most of our competitors with our 8 years experience. We are now finding this advantage powerful on the CSS market.
Shopello is becoming the future of ad-Tech fast and already has a strong lineup of features with AI bidding and capacity for a successful proven CPO model*.

The Role
To keep levelling up Shopello someone should assume the full responsibility over it. This Head of Shopello will carry the full P&L responsibility for the product, drive the product development and is expected to deliver rapid, extensive, business growth. To prove that we are going all in on this we have recently dedicated a fully fledged tech team with 6 members to Shopello and are investing in a growing sales & customer success team, currently of 7 members.
The expectations on Shopello really are extraordinarily high, internally and externally. To take on this challenge you should have audacious ambitions and the desire grow this beyond what most people would consider possible, and sane. We are already live in large parts of Europe and consider this first stop on the journey, not the final destination. You should be looking for a place where you have the opportunity to establish a dominant position on the CSS market, and where that success largely will depend on you.
The Person
We believe that the person who can bring this home knows e-commerce well and has worked with scaling a product previously. Either as the person in charge or as a trusted lieutenant. Experience from sales with a strong track record is necessary. As is having worked closely with technical product development.
From the perspective of scaling this product and the team you should probably know what lies ahead better than we do. At the very least you have been through it before, in some role, and have a desire to improve and do it even better this time.
You should bring analytical experience from a BI sense and have an urge to look deep into our data to see the future and make accurate decisions.
Under the Shopello umbrella there will be 15+ people before long (13 to date). Leading a team this size should not be the main challenge for you in this role.
Shopello is a technical product, funnelling millions of products from thousands of stores and presenting them at a myriad of sites, including google. You should feel comfortable talking to developers about technical aspects of a product at this level.
